This year the Colorado High School Inline Hockey League's "Saluting Our Champs"feature player is Tessa Harland of Smoky Hill High School.

Meet Tessa Harland.
Tessa has demonstrated the qualities of a successful student as well as athlete. Her remarkable achievements have set the bar for all student athletes and what we (League) believe are the goals necessary for a successful future. However, do not confuse Tessa's warm heart and kind demeanor as a sign of weakness. She is a ferocious competitor and will always be considered among the most skilled athletes in Colorado.
This is what Coach, Peter Sarnataro had to say about Tessa Harland:
Tessa has been a committed member of the Smoky Hill inline hockey program for the past 4 years. She always has a smile on her face and has a strong positive influence on her teammates. She is heavily involved in other sports and activities at school and still manages to maintain excellent grades. I admire how well rounded she is, and she is a great role model for any teen. |

What college will you be attending, or are currently attending?
Either Colorado College or CSU Fort Collins--I still have to decide.
What will you major in?
If I go to Colorado College I will major in Neuroscience, if I go to CSU Fort Collins I will major in Biomedical Science.
What is your favorite movie?
Cars
What is your favorite sport (besides hockey)?
It's a tie between field hockey and lacrosse.
What is your favorite type of music?
I'm open to anything with the exception of country.
Who is/are your favorite music performer(s)?
Weezer
Who are your favorite athlete(s)?
Natalie Darwitz, the captain of the U.S. Women's hockey team
Who are/is your role model(s)?
My parents, their hard work and support has gotten me where I am today.
What are your plans for the future? i.e. career.
College, more college, and becoming a doctor.
